In 2015, shortly after we sold our last 12 pack and our last keg of Outpost Cold Brew, we launched Vimala. There were two main inspirations behind Vimala:

  1. We wanted to learn how to create and build a brand via third party platforms.
  2. We like to buy anything we can on third party sites, like Amazon, and there weren’t enough quality, locally made products available.

We started with one item that was doing well already (konjac sponge) and two items we wanted to buy on Amazon but couldn’t find: quality large size bar soap and quality candles, think products you would find walking Abbot Kinney, Venice or Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
